The mobile team was invited to stay with a young German family in Carberry, Manitoba. This couple counted the cost of receiving the team knowing that if they did, they would very possibly be ex-communicated from their church.
The team felt led to strengthen and encourage this young fellowship. And so, faith was built as the team shared their personal testimonies and experiences with the young members. Both the husbands and wives were kickstarted in the streets and were encouraged to step out in faith and trust God as they were led by the Holy Spirit.
The team also took the time to do prophetic exercises and to experience organic church with the house fellowship members.
During the week, the wives shared their faith with a young lady who did not know the Lord at all and who instantly received the gospel, repented and got baptized that very same day!
Praise Jesus for disciples who are willing to count the cost and step out in faith!
Luke 14: 25-28 & 33 - The Cost of Being a Disciple
25 A large crowd was following Jesus. He turned around and said to them, 26 “If you want to be my disciple, you must, by comparison, hate everyone else—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple. 27 And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple.
28 “But don’t begin until you count the cost…
33 So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own.
