Kickstart in Edmonton

Another awesome kickstart day happened in Edmonton in early March! Many people came to learn how to be a disciple of Jesus who heals the sick, casts out demons, preaches de the gospel and baptizes. A Serbian family who came was praying for a kickstart in their area just a week before, and so this was an answer to prayer for them! The husband and his wife both received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues during the event! In the afternoon, we made small teams and sent people out on the streets to put their faith into action. One team went to a Tim Hortons where they prayed for someone who then led them to a Native reserve where they got to preach the gospel. Some people received healing and deliverance that afternoon at the reserve! Another woman also got healed and delivered, and then repented, got baptized and received the Holy Spirit. Three people got baptized in total!

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.” With many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”

Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls. They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer. Fear came on every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

Acts 2:37-43
