Pioneer Training School in Deroche, BC

In December, we held a Pioneer Training School in Deroche, British Columbia. Twenty-two students came from different provinces to be trained as disciples of Jesus! Some of them had real stories of faith for how God opened the doors to come to the school through road blockades and checkpoints due to floodings and mudslides in the region. We were blessed to hold the school at a beautiful rustic Bible camp looking out to the mountains. For twelve days, the students lived together as a community and learned to serve one another by cooking the meals and cleaning. They learned how to heal the sick, cast out demons, hear God's voice, prophesy, preach the gospel, find persons of peace, baptize people and the principles of house fellowships! We held a two-day kickstart seminar as part of the school where the students put into practice what they learned to disciple others. Two students got baptized as part of the school, one more right after the school finished, and six more during the kickstart seminar. We had beautiful times of worship throughout the school and got more intimate and accountable through small groups in the morning. The students also bonded through sharing the Lord's supper in an interactive, organic way. On the last day of the school, the students were sent out into the harvest field to find persons of peace all day. One of the groups baptized someone they met on the street that same day! The students had multiple opportunities to go out on the streets throughout the school to heal the sick and preach the gospel. Since the school finished, the leadership team is staying in British Columbia and doing more Kingdom work with some of the students, some of them inviting us to their homes for further discipleship. God is so good!

They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer. Fear came on every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. All who believed were together, and had all things in common. They sold their possessions and goods, and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need. Day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people. The Lord added to the assembly day by day those who were being saved.
